Lawn Care Program
Lawn Care Program
A thicker, greener, weed-free lawn. Less fertilizer and pesticides. It’s not too good to be true.
For your first visit, NexGreen will apply fertilizer and bio-nutrients that promote early spring green-up along with crabgrass prevention and targeted weed control, a great application to wake up your lawn. A thorough inspection of your lawn will also be conducted to advise on any prior season concerns that need to be addressed.
In addition to targeted weed control, this application will promote greener color and strengthen your root system while reducing the amount of nitrates and pesticides that traditional lawn companies use this time of the year. A strong root system creates a thicker, healthier lawn that naturally defends against weeds and annual grasses.
This will strengthen your lawn while controlling those pesky weeds. The bio-nutrient supplement also helps your lawn naturally endure the stress of summer by improving the cell structure of your grass. A grub preventative treatment is recommended at this time to ensure that white grubs do not devastate your lawn. (A supplemental service provided at an additional charge).
During this mid-year application, we evaluate and target the specific requirements of your lawn. Whether it’s a boost of fertilizer, a targeted weed treatment or additional post-emergent to control problem grasses, you can count on us to do the right thing for your lawn.
This will help your lawn recover from the stress of summer and take care of any unwelcome weeds. Core aeration and overseeding are recommended at this time to reduce soil compaction and introduce improved varieties of grass to your lawn. (A supplemental service provided at an additional charge).
Prior to your lawn going into winter dormancy, we will apply a final fertilization to feed your root system and help the lawn endure the stress of winter more effectively. This application will also help your lawn green-up earlier next spring.
Tree & Shrub Care
Trees & Shrubs Need Love, Too.
Your NexGreen Tree & Shrub Program is full of nutrients to help the largest and most focal elements of your landscape – your trees and shrubs – look and feel their very best.
NexGreen’s custom root zone feedings will stimulate growth and help increase the flowering potential of your plants. We use targeted applications to treat plant material at the proper time of the year while minimizing the use of pesticides. Our trained horticultural specialists will identify active pests during each round and apply products to those plants that have damaging thresholds.
A Targeted, Step-By-Step Approach
to Your NexGreen Tree & Shrub™ Program
Organically-based fertilizer that improves microbial activity, root development, and flowering potential. This feeding increases the health and vigor of plants, while reducing fertilizer inputs into the environment.
Disease and insect application protects emerging leaves from damage caused by mites, insects, and diseases. This is a critical time of year because insects are hatching and want to feed so they can reproduce again.
Application: Early Summer
The second disease and insect application protects midseason growth from pests that have several life cycles during the season. Pest problems will be controlled for continued health and vigor of landscape plants.
The third disease and insect application gives late season plant protection from reoccuring pests that emerge this time of the year. Continuing to protect your plants will result in a healthier landscape.
Application: Early Fall
Organically-based fertilizer will help spur recovery from summer stress and prepare the landscape for winter. Fertilization this time of year promotes essential root growth and the overall health of the plants.
Horticultural oils are applied to control overwintering pests on ornamentals. Horticultural oils are applied to dormant plants and will reduce the population of certain insects and mites.
Applied late May through August, this treatment prevents the damage that occurs when grubs feed on the roots of your lawn.
Soil conditioner helps to regulate the pH of your lawn, allowing for improved uptake of important nutrients.
Performed late August to October, aeration removes plugs of soil from your lawn to help reduce soil compaction while increasing the flow of air, water and nutrients to the roots. This also creates a seedbed to allow improved grass varieties to establish, thickening the density of your turf.
Perimeter pest control reduces warm weather populations of non-turf damaging pests such as: earwigs, chiggers, spiders, centipedes and millipedes. These treatments are applied around your home’s foundation and to the landscape beds of your home. Visits throughout the season are recommended to keep active pest populations under control.
These treatments are applied to your turf area. Visits throughout the season are recommended to keep active pest populations under control and reduce the risk from Lyme Disease carrying ticks.
